In simplest of terms....A
phone card simply gives you access to make cheap calls all over
the World, to literally any destination. You can make the call
from a landline number or a mobile,...and mobile to mobile phone if you
wish!

How are cheap calls achieved?....A
phone card can come in two forms. The first is a card itself,
just like a credit card if you like. The card contains simple
easy to follow, written information about how it works and how
the calls are made. The second way
is to download the card via an email. You still get all the
information required to make those cheap International phone calls. The added
benefit is you get the card straight away in effect....because
you are receiving it in an email, best of all you save
yourself about £3.00 on shipping costs!

How easy is it to dial my number?....Generally
you are provided with a few access numbers which you call.
(see below how easy it is)
(A)
Using a
touch tone phone, you dial the access number you were given,
sent to you via email or on the back of your phone card. (usually free phone
/ toll free or local access).
(B)
Your call is
quickly answered by fully automated voice system. At the
prompt, a voice will ask you to enter your PIN number (sent to you via email or on
the back of your phone card).
(C)
Your
balance for this card is normally announced at this point.
Obviously this would depend on how many credits you
originally purchased. eg. a £5.00 card £10, or £20 phone
card.
(D)
You are
next asked to dial your destination phone number. In many
cases this will be the full international dialling code.
(International Access Code, 00 in Europe, 011 in the USA,
then the country code for the country you require).
- Example 1:
From the US to UK dial 011 44 1772 493226 would be a valid
number.
Example 2: From the UK to US dial 00 1 212 ...... would be
a valid number, etc.
(E)
When you finish your call.
When you want to
finish your call you would simply hang-up. The next time you
call you are notified again of your remaining credit....Brilliant,
you know exactly where you are!
(E) Set
yourself up with an account.
It's good to
remember when you purchase your phone card to sign in and
create yourself an online account, doing this ensures the next
time you purchase any further phone cards...all your user
information is already there, however for security reasons you
will need to re-input your credit card number....but hey!
